What Does God Say about Same-Sex Relationships and Same-Sex Marriage?

Since the beginning, God has created all of us to have relationships – starting with the relationship with Him.  He created Adam to tend to the Garden of Eden.  God created Eve as his wife.  (In Genesis chapter one verse twenty-eight (NIV), He told them to work and to multiply (meaning procreate)).  The family started with Adam and Eve.  It was a pure creation.

God never intended for same-sex relationships.  He created a family with children born to male and female parents who are married.  God never wanted children to grow up confused because their parents are living in their feelings, not God’s way.

The same-sex relationships were created by the devil to influence how the world views relationships.  They are not the natural order that God created.

Christians, stop allowing the devil to use your emotions versus the holy life God wants you to live.  You need to decide which side you’re on.  If you are at a crossroads, allow the Holy Spirit to guide you to pray to God about these desires.  Let God show you people who can pray over you about this matter and mentor you.  A spiritual mentor can also guide you on how to deal with temptations.

Humans have desires – God gave us desires.  However, with the devil always around, they can be hijacked into something sinful.  They can be turned into perverted desires.  This is why as Christians, we need to be careful of what we are feeding our spirits and the spirits of all children as well.  Everything from music, online videos, cartoons, books, television, radio, podcasts, and social media – can confuse who we are or who we are supposed to be.  These are devices used by the devil to have more people think it is okay to have a relationship with the same sex. We are in spiritual warfare daily.  It is important to spend time with God, pray, and study the Bible to be ready to fight in the spirit.

Ephesians 4:10-17: 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

The world thinks it is okay to enter into same-sex relationships.  They also supported same-sex marriage.  The world supported children being brought into the mix – either natural children, through IVF, or adoption – to create a family with same-sex couples.

Marriages had been under attack since after the first sin in the Garden of Eden.  The devil doesn’t want marriage to be holy like God intended. Marriage represents the marriage between God and the church.

To Christians who are living the same-sex lifestyle, you are indulging in sin.  There isn’t anything natural or holy about how you are living.

Whoever told you that God is okay with it – they aren’t speaking the truth on this issue.  Preachers who are preaching that God supports this – the truth isn’t in them.  They are leading you astray from God.  Every lie you believe and live will create distance between you and God.

God said to Moses in Leviticus twenty verse thirteen: If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable.

To Christians who are in a relationship where you were legally ‘married’, God doesn’t recognize this as a marriage because marriage has been between a man and a woman always since the beginning when God created marriage.  It is a sin to even be in a relationship with a person of the same sex.  This relationship isn’t even holy in God’s eyes.

As Christians, we’re called to live holy lives.  How is living together as a same-sex couple living holy?

Christians, we need to go to God about anything we are concerned about.  The Holy Spirit will guide you on the right track if you allow Him to.  God will speak to you through the Holy Spirit.  He will lead you to a Bible story or verse to give you answers.  God wants you to repent and turn back to Him.  He wants the best life for you.  God wants you to live the life that represents HIs Son Jesus.
