When God created woman, He felt woman was beautiful because He created her. Why would women try to attract men with makeup and clothes? Do you know that God made you beautiful the way you are? Don’t you know there is more to you than just a pretty face?
There are women in the faith who dress less modestly, and more worldly to attract the attention of men. Usually, when that happens, you can attract men who don’t believe in God or are not living for Him.
While we women are beautiful because God made us, it doesn’t mean we have to flaunt our bodies to the world. When we were young, we experimented with clothes, hair and make-up. Even though our parents may forbid us from wearing provocative clothes because we were underage. Make-up is always an issue as well.
We were made to be a helpmate for our husbands once we do get married. While we are single, God is our husband. How we present ourselves to the world at all times should bring honor to God. Our bodies should be covered – not all men should see your body when you are dressed.
Peter wrote about wives submitting to their husbands in First Peter chapter three verses three through six (NIV): 3: Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. 4 Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. 5 For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to adorn themselves. They submitted themselves to their own husbands, 6 like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her lord. You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear.
We Christian women should be working on our relationship with God. We should be focusing on our God-driven purpose. We should be healing from our past. We should be ready when the time comes. God would send us our husbands.
We need to love ourselves, as in taking care of our health spiritually, mentally, physically, and emotionally. We live in a broken world. Christian women shouldn’t think like the world because we are not of the world. We will go through trials – Jesus even warned us about this during His ministry.
God wants you focused on His kingdom. In Matthew chapter six verse thirty-three: “But seek first His Kingdom and His Righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
God has plans for your life that are bigger than anything you can come up with. Sister, it is time for you to change your way of thinking. Spend time with God in prayer and meditation. Listen to what He tells you about your life. Let HIm help you to build your confidence in Him. Studying the Bible and the Holy Spirit will guide you to what you need.
Ladies, stop searching for a husband. Your future husband is the one that finds you. God would be the one to send him to you. He wants His best for you. God wants you ready when He sends your husband to you. By the time he comes, you will be a woman after God’s own heart, like King David was. Your fruits in the Spirit would be present.
If you have been so focused on attracting men or searching for a husband, repent and give your concerns to God. Let Him give you strength to live a Godly lifestyle to glorify Him. Anything you put before God is an idol. Therefore, this is a sin. We should be focused on the Kingdom and spreading the Good News of the gospel of Jesus.
